Dr Theo Potgieter qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1978 from the Stellenbosch University in the Cape, South Africa and has achieved a number of postgraduate degrees and qualifications.

Theo furthered his studies in 1988 with achieving a diploma in Family Medicine and has recently completed a 2-year diploma in sedation at the University of Cape Town. Theo has received a certificate for sedation in dental practice from University College London (Eastmans).

Theo worked as a G.P. for 22 years in a rural town in the Cape, South Africa where he did his own surgery such as tonsillectomies, caesarean section, appendicectomies and many other operations. Theo gave many anaesthetics, which he enjoyed. Botox is another interest and speciality of Theo’s.

Theo’s father is a G.P. while his son is soon to qualify as a medical doctor also from Stellenbosch University. Theo has two daughters of which his youngest one also wants to study medicine.
